Spring Lawn Maintenance Tips

1. Rake your lawn: After the winter, your lawn may be covered in dead leaves, branches, and debris. Raking your lawn can help remove these materials and allow new growth to thrive.
2. Aerate your lawn: Aeration involves creating small holes in your lawn to allow air, water, and nutrients to reach the roots. This can help improve the health of your lawn and encourage new growth.
3. Fertilize your lawn: Spring is a good time to fertilize your lawn to give it the nutrients it needs to grow. Choose a fertilizer that is appropriate for your type of grass and apply it evenly across your lawn.
4. Seed bare spots: If you have bare spots on your lawn, spring is a good time to seed them. Choose a high-quality grass seed and spread it evenly over the bare areas. Water the area regularly until the grass starts to grow.
5. Control weeds: Spring is also the time when weeds start to grow. Use a weed control product to prevent weeds from taking over your lawn. Be sure to follow the instructions carefully and avoid applying the product on windy days.
6. Mow your lawn: As the weather gets warmer, your lawn will start to grow more quickly. Be sure to mow your lawn regularly to keep it at the desired height. Aim to remove no more than one-third of the grass blade at a time.
7. Water your lawn: Finally, be sure to water your lawn regularly to keep it healthy and green. Water deeply and infrequently, rather than shallowly and frequently, to encourage deeper root growth.

By following these tips, you can help your lawn look its best in the spring and throughout the year. A little bit of maintenance now can go a long way in creating a healthy and beautiful lawn for the months ahead. Get ahead of everyone else and book lawn maintance today!
